Light Play

On a quiet night at Great Sand Dunes, the wind finally loosened its grip and left the landscape in a rare moment of calm. In that stillness, a single ridge drew me in with its graceful curve, delicate ripples, and untouched surface. As light moved across the sand, the crest began to glow while the hollows held their shadow, revealing a balance between softness and depth. Above it, the Milky Way rose into the cold mountain sky, widening the silence even more. What stayed with me was the feeling of brief stillness within constant change. Light Play invites the viewer into that moment of presence, simplicity, and quiet wonder.

Light Play has been selected for multiple juried photography and art exhibitions. In 2023, it was honored with the Artistic Expression Award at the 29th National Juried Photography Show and Sale in Louisville, Colorado.
