Preeminent

In the Valley of Dreams, the boundary between earth and imagination feels almost weightless. Under the night sky, these sculpted forms rose from the pale desert like figures from a vision, shaped by time yet seeming to belong to another world. As light revealed their textures and quiet contours, the scene took on a presence that felt both intimate and immense. Above them, the stars swept through smoke softened color, adding a dreamlike sense of motion to the stillness below. What stayed with me most was the feeling of standing in a place both haunting and serene. Preeminent invites the viewer into that moment of wonder, mystery, and reverence.

Preeminent was selected for the At Night international exhibition at the Museum of the Big Bend in Alpine, Texas in 2021.
